Do you want to learn the piano or voice fast without going to a store? Are you looking for a deal? If so, CJW Music Lessons is for you. CJW Music Lessons is a new, solo owned company that teaches piano, voice, music theory, songwriting, and music composition lessons and courses for those who dream of being in the music field.
Who am I? My name is Cody Weinmann and I have degrees in Piano Performance, Music Composition, and Music Technology from California State University, San Bernardino. I have over 15 years’ piano playing experience, 7 years of vocal training and 10 years of songwriting and composition experience. I have been teaching in music schools for the last five years to all ages young and old.
What do I offer and how do I offer it? At CJW Music Lessons, I offer one-on-one music instruction and/or small group instruction in house as well as customized musical arrangements and supplemental materials specifically designed to have students playing both by ear and by sight reading in a matter of a few lessons.
I offer songwriting and composition lessons and consultations for those who see themselves as writers rather than performers (or both works well too). We focus on lyric writing, overall song structure, rhyming, rhythm, melody, harmony and techniques that could help the student write music for a living.
The reason I offer all of these services is because I am experienced in teaching all ages from 5 year old kids to 25 year old adults and older. Different age groups want different things.
What are my openings? I have openings at least three days a week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) from 10am to 1pm where I can either travel to your residence or you to mine in order to receive private, one-on-one instruction one or even multiple times per week if you need such an arrangement. Other days and times can and will be considered as well.
I teach primarily in Diamond Bar, Pomona, Covina, West Covina, Glendora, Montclair, and Claremont. I also do Skype or FaceTime lessons. (Feel free to inquire about these).
What do I charge for lessons? My lessons start at $25 for a half hour lesson and $40 for an hour lesson. Lessons lasting more than one hour can be negotiated starting at double the hourly rate. (For example, 2 hour lessons will be charged $80 for the lesson.)
I also offer lesson packages where you can pre-pay for an entire 2 weeks, a month, three month, four month or six months at a time. Note: Each of these packages contains a discount of $25 at the month rate, $22 at the three month and four month rate and $20 at the six month rate.
I offer both types of payment based on the student’s individual needs.
